Technical Information : Packaging
Rolled Metal Products maintains packing specifications for all customers.
RMP can also create custom bar-coded shipping tags and labels to meet various customer specifications.
If packing specifications are not customer-supplied, the following is RMP's Standard Packing Specification:
- Standard skid will have 3" X 4" runners, spaced minimum 24" apart. 4 Deck Boards.
- Maximum weight of 2500 lb. Maximum height is 34".
- Three bands per coil. 4-3/4" X 1-1/2" spacers between each coil. Four bands hold the stack to skid.
- Plastic shrink wrap will be used on all material upon request.
- Skid width will be larger than coil O.D. dimension.
- The top coil of the stack will have a standard coil tag, and the skid will have a standard skid tag.
