Veterans bring many skills to the table when they apply for jobs once they’re back to civilian life. They’re used to working with many different types of people and are skilled at motivating each other.  They’ve also been trained to be able to work as an individual but also in a group where they are responsible for each other.

The soft skills they possess are valuable to any employer. Their “mission accomplished” attitude shows up with their great work ethic – they don’t tend to stop until the job’s done.  They’re usually open communicators that want to work through problems with the process or product at hand. Their skills are especially useful in the industries where most veterans are working now – aerospace & engineering, weapons & security and information technology.
